It's always fun when I have to inform my mum about something I know she's not gonna be pleased about
#+Extra#personal#Tag talk#Uni shenanigans#8 out of 10 times its related to uni whether it be the uni i applied to the fact im studying in Scotland what im studying how long i plan#on staying at the accomodation i pay for or my unwillingness to travel on the more expensive days/times that suit her but are inconvenient#for me shes generally pssed about the choices i make regarding uni and today ive just had to text her that i plan on staying at uni for#the majority of the summer to pay back my tuition ya know cus i dont really have any options its not like they wanna help with that they#just wanna complain about how much I owe and the decisions I make in regards to that but ive just found out its possible to get a summer#contract and i need to be working so theyll have to do without their free babysitter while i make actual money to pay for my degree#i also had to text her the information which is always psses her off but she doesnt let me speak when she calls so i wouldnt be able to#explain any other way and when its in text she cant pretend i didnt say something because its written down and saved for me to go back to#later ridiculous when you have to plan for future instances where your parents try to twist your words and insinuate youre lying#but thats just how it is unfortunately at least ive gotten better at negating some of that bs while at uni
